Earn while you learn on an apprenticeship with the College! This nationally recognised standard will provide you with the skills, experience and knowledge you need to progress in your chosen career. Your apprenticeship framework will include a combination of on-the-job training, studying for your qualification at College and maths, English and possibly ICT depending on the framework and any prior GCSEs. Customer Service apprentices often work at the front end of a business. Regularly assisting customers, they are vital to business success. Duties will vary between sectors, but in most cases you will be making sure that customers are dealt with in a positive, reliable and pleasant way - whether that is by offering advice, answering questions or handling complaints.
You will develop:
Knowledge and responsibilities involved in coordinating customer service teams
Current legislation that impacts on those in a working customer service environment
Other Important Info The apprenticeship framework of qualifications includes knowledge of customer service, together with: English, maths, ICT and employment rights and responsibilities
Customer Service skills are varied and can be applied to job roles such as:
Customer relationship manager/ co-ordinator/ team leader
Students need to have the following: Successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship
Employment within the sector with a contract of employment for at least 30 hours per week
A good standard of education with 5 GCSEs at A-C / 9-4 including maths and English (or equivalent)
Satisfactory completion of the college initial assessment
