The Details
Gain the key practical skills needs to be enter the expanding construction industry. You will learn how to construct different brickwork models to industry standard as well as core health and safety knowledge. You'll also learn about the principles of building, information and quantities, as well as improving your communication skills.
You could be learning how to construct block, brick and cavity walling as well as basic manory structures. You'll also be taught how to maintain the different tools involved. We'll help you to iprove your maths skills too as they're vital to being a bricklayer!
All work completed will be assessed against set criteria, which is clearly signposted throughout the programme. The assessments are in practical skills and theory work.
Future Prospects
Successful completion of the programme will enable you to progress on to a Level 2 in Bricklaying or an apprenticeship. Alternatively you may wish to go straight into employment in the construction industry.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 2/F or above, including English or maths.
