Looking for a Hairdressing apprenticeship in Kent? Earn while you learn at MidKent College.
Do you enjoy meeting new people, and have a passion for style and beauty? If you combine this with a good work ethic, a career in hairdressing is for you.
Develop skills that could see you working locally in a reputable salon, or take you around the world on shoots or cruise ships. You’ll learn how to advise clients on the perfect style for them, as well as making a positive impression of yourself.

Your communication and organisation skills will also improve through salon reception training.
You’ll also study English and maths at a level to suit you. All hairdressers will need to communicate effectively with clients, order stock and calculate pricing.
How will I be assessed?
Your dedicated training officer will assess most of your learning in your workplace. You’ll also be assessed in English and maths, at an appropriate level to you.
