IWFM FM qualification

Who are MKCTS?
MKC Training Services (MKCTS) Ltd are an approved training provider for the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) in the South East offering a powerful combination of the latest e-learning technology led by highly experienced tutors.

What is the aim of the IWFM level 3 in Facilities Management?
This qualification will give practising or potential first line managers the foundation for development within the role. You will develop your leadership and management skills, as well as specific Facilities Management (FM) skills.

What is the aim of the IWFM level 4 in Facilities Management?

This qualification is aimed at those in operational management jobs in facilities management, or those who aspire to work at this level. You will develop your leadership and management skills, as well as specific facilities management skills.

What are the future prospects?
You will be eligible for Associate Membership of IWFM. Once you have completed the level 3 qualification you can also progress to the IWFM level 4, which MKCTS started delivering in May 2016.

How is the training delivered?
Your training at MKCTS will include a combination of IWFM's online learning and assessments, supplemented tutor support through a variety of options. For those learners in the South East, facilitated learning sessions can also be provided with a series of face-to-face sessions with your tutor at your place of work. Your options, locations and availability will be discussed with your tutor. The programme has been designed for busy professionals and is completely flexible to suit your needs and employer's schedule.

What could the course contain?
The content is fairly flexible and modules are subject to change - we can help you choose the modules best suited to you. Depending on the level you choose, units could include customer and stakeholder relations, health and safety, budget management to contingency planning. How much does it cost and what entry requirements do I need?
Due to national enquiries for training from August 2015, two forms of delivery will be offered to suit learners needs. The costs will depend on the level of the qualification and chosen delivery method:

Delivery option 1: Online modules and tutor support

Delivery option 2: Online modules, tutor support and facilitated learning sessions (only available in the south east).

There are no formal entry requirements but you will normally by a practicing or aspiring Facilities Manager and have the necessary skills to complete the programme (usually a level 2 or equivalent in literacy and numeracy). You must also be able to access online learning material, complete assignments and attend one workshop per month in the Medway area.

What experience do your tutors have?
Our tutors have a wide range of knowledge and skill across the theory and practice of Total FM for the industrial, defence, healthcare, business continuity and critical infrastructure sectors. You will be supported by excellent experienced FM lecturers throughout your time at MKCTS.
