Youth University Progression (One Year)

Our one-year intensive Youth University Progression course is delivered from our Medway Campus in Kent, and provides a fast route into university.

To qualify, you must be 17-18 years old and have four different GCSEs at grade C or above, including English, Maths and Science. You must also have already experienced level 3 study through a vocational course or A-level.

If the above applies to you, then this fast-track, one-year course can help you develop the skills that are essential for study at university.

You will study English, Communications, Sociology, Psychology and History. However, the focus in all these subjects is the methods that are needed to be a successful student.

You will learn note-taking and research skills, essay planning and writing, referencing and interview and presentation techniques.

This course leads to a level 3 NOCN (National Open College Network) Certificate in Progression.

Previous students have gone on to study a range of courses at various universities, including Kent, Christ Church, Southampton, Royal Holloway and Nottingham.

The two-year version of this course may be more suitable if you don't meet the entry requirements for this one.
