The current Sports, Activities and Entertainment Officer is Darren Naylor. Darren is a full-time Youth University Progression student. Darren's term is from December 1st 2011 through to June 30th 2012.




Sports, Activities and Entertainment Officer's Job Description


 

The Sports, Activities and Entertainment Officer will sit on the Executive Committee shall, under the direction of the President:

  • primarily act as a representative for MidKent College students in organising sports, activities and entertainment under the direction of student feedback
  • collaborate with the LGBT Executive Officer, the LGBT Students’ Campus Officers, the Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Students’ Campus Officers, the Mature Students’ Campus Officers, the Disabled Students’ Campus Officers, the International Students’ Campus Officers and the Gender Equality Campus Officers to ensure that all students are represented, and that the interests of minorities are respected
  • establish and direct liberation campaigns within the college to ensure support is available to all students
  • (with the Media, Publicity and Communications Executive Officer) ensure that information on the liberation campaigns are easily accessible and are promoted to all students
  • (if affiliated) keep up to date with NUS Liberation Campaigns and the work of the NUS Welfare Zone Committee, and attend relevant liberation conferences
  • in all instances, act in the best interests of MidKent College students
  • be a member of Student Council and present relevant reports
