Target Audience
The Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector award (PTLLS) is required for all new teachers in the sector. At MidKent College, PTLLS also forms part of the follow-on qualifications, Certificate to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) and Diploma to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS). It provides an introduction to teaching as a step towards licensed practitioner status, Associate Teaching Learning and Skills (ATLS) and Qualified Teaching Learning and Skills (QTLS). Learners will come from a variety of vocational backgrounds and will seek an introduction to teaching. They may be already teaching or have no prior experience.
