HND in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre)

What will I learn?

Units include:

   Acting for musical theatre 

   Dance for musical theatre 
   Musical theatre performance 
   Singing techniques and styles 
   Singing for musical theatre 
   Small-scale touring in the performing arts 
   Marketing in the creative arts 
   Creative arts – Professional practice

What are the entry requirements?

You must have at least one of these:

   A level 3 qualification in Performing Arts or Production Arts

   Four GCSEs at grade C or above including English

   An A-level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject

   Other related level 3 qualifications such as an NVQ

   Access course

   Mature learners with a profile of achievement 


You must also attend an audition and an interview in order to be awarded a place on the courses.

HND in Performing Arts (Production)


What will I learn?
 
 
 













































 


Units include:

   Lighting design for live performance

   Lighting operation for live performance 
   Performing arts rigging 
   Production management in the creative arts 
   Stage management in practice 
   Wardrobe management 
   Scenic design 
   Workshop constructional skills 
   Creative arts professional practice

What are the entry requirements?

You must have at least one of these:

  A level 3 qualification in Performing Arts or Production Arts

  Four GCSEs at grade C or above including English

   Other related level 3 qualifications such as an NVQ

   An A-level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject

  Access course

  Mature learners with a profile of achievement


Course applicants must also attend an interview and provide evidence of experience of production. This might include a portfolio detailing production documentation, video/audio recordings, school productions or paid work within the wider industry.
