More than 40 from the Animal Management faculty paid a visit to the Nausicaa aquarium in Boulogne, where they came face-to-face with some of the world’s most fascinating sea creatures.

Among the students in attendance was keen nature photographer Jenni Prescott, who captured some amazing shots of the attraction’s various inhabitants.

Lecturer Louise Bowman said: "The annual trip to Nausicaa is the highlight of the aquatics unit I teach.

"Many students start the unit thinking fish are pretty boring, so it’s great to help them change their attitudes and see them get so enthusiastic."

MidKent College offers qualifications in land-based studies, animal care and animal management and is home to a variety of animals including snakes, turtles, lizards and more.
