Funded by Hampshire Dance and Youth Dance England through the South East Youth Dance Network, the special college event, organised by Medway Council’s Arts Development team, was open to all MidKent College students and pupils from a range of local schools and dance groups.

“The event enabled young dancers to talk to some of the UK’s leading dance training providers, including universities, companies, and professional institutions and organisations,” said Luci Napleton, a freelance dance development consultant working for Medway Council.

“Visitors took part in a question and answer panel and were given a unique opportunity to take part in taster workshops fun by De Montfort University, Loop Dance Company and The Place - a leading centre for contemporary dance training.” She added: “This has been a fantastic opportunity for any young dancer.”
