MidKent College is now accepting applications for financial support from students attending in the 2012/13 academic year.

A number of bursaries are available to help cover the everyday costs associated with studying at college, including course materials, travel and childcare.

Each application is means-tested to determine whether an individual is eligible for support and, if so, to what extent.

Matt Bannister – team leader for student financial support – said: “Financial support may be the difference between somebody attending college or staying at home, so it’s important people are aware of the help available.

“There have been a number of changes to the funding system in recent months but our team of advisers are on hand to help steer both prospective and existing students through the application process.”
