Additional Learner Support

Our Curriculum Access Support Team (CAST) assists any learners who have additional support needs.

The team has specialist skills in the following:

Dyslexia & language difficulties
Hearing or visual impairment
Emotional or behavioural challenges
Physical or medical problems
Mental health issues.

A member of the team will advise you on the physical resources that may be available to you, for example if you are a wheelchair user or need specialist Information Technology facilities or other kinds of support during your course. They will also arrange exam concessions if you are entitled to these.

As well as the support provided by our specialist lecturers, we have Learning Facilitators to help you find your way around College, take notes for you, act as communicators and look after your general welfare.

Find out what support may be available to you by calling the Maidstone support team direct on 01622 625943 or the Medway support team direct on 01634 383138.
