At MidKent College in Kent, our Building Services courses cover plumbing, heating, gas, and sustainability and energy efficiency (including safety, installation, maintenance and regulations).
We work closely with local employers and suppliers, and Summit Skills (the Skills Sector Council for Building Services Engineering) to ensure our courses meet employer needs and standards.
Depending on the level and type of course you complete, you may learn how to complete technical installations such as hot and cold water sanitation, weatherings, bathroom, and heating.
Higher level courses cover water regulations, building regulations, gas regulations, unvented hot water and heating.

All Foundation Learning courses aim to enable students to progress to a full Level 2 qualification.
Successful completion of our full-time Level 2 or Level 3 programmes can improve your career prospects and chances of employment within the industry. They could also lead to entry to the site-based NVQ level 2 award; but you will need to be employed as a plumbing, heating/gas installer to satisfy the 'on the job' assessment and evidence required.
