All our tutors are working musicians with bags of industry experience. 

An extensive range of higher education courses are also available at MidKent College.

These courses will provide you with an opportunity to experience popular music performance and/or sound recording. In addition, the College is now a Pro Tools training facility, offering students the opportunity to use the latest and most up-to-date software in the audio industry.

Depending on the level and type of course you complete, you may develop a range of performance-related skills, including those in harmony, arranging and composition. You will also develop a greater understanding of the music business.

Those on courses in music technology will cover components in music publishing, composing, midi sequencing and software, sound recording techniques, studio production, digital audio principles, acoustics, live sound, multimedia sound production and more.

Full-time courses include:

   Diploma in Music (Level 2) - Medway 

  Subsidiary/Extended Diploma in Music Technology (Level 3) - Medway

   Subsidiary/Extended Diploma in Music Practice (Level 3) - Medway


Part-time and evening courses include:

   Pro Tools 101 - Medway

   Pro Tools 110 - Medway

   Pro Tools 101 & 110 (combined) - Medway

   Introduction to Sequencing – Music Technology - Medway

   Intermediate Sequencing – Music Technology - Medway

   Advanced Sequencing – Music Technology - Medway

Successful completion of our Level 3 courses in music perfomance and production could lead to a degree in music at university, or, for the most diligent of students, the opportunity to become a professional musician or pursue a career in live and recorded sound (music, TV, radio, film and theatre).
