You will develop the understanding required to work within the Health & Social Care or Childcare sectors. Depending on the level and type of course you undertake, you may complete a range of units including those in diet and health, anatomy and physiology, equality, diversity and rights, supporting and protecting adults, effective communication, children and play, keeping children safe, and children's education.

All Foundation Learning courses aim to enable students to progress to a full Level 2 qualification.
Those who successfully complete our Level 2 or Level 3 training in Health & Social Care can move onto further study within the field, employment, or professional training (such as midwifery, nursing, social work, residential care or management, housing, or the probation service).

Those who successfully complete our Level 2 training in Childcare can move onto further study within the field or employment as a nursery nurse or playgroup assistant.
Our Level 3 Childcare courses will enable you to progress to further study at higher education level (such as a foundation degree or teacher training), further training as a play specialist, or employment as a nursery supervisor, childcare officer, classroom assistant, nursery nurse, or sole charge nanny.
