College Structure
Board of Governors
MidKent College has a Board of Governors (at present 19), the majority of whom must be representatives of employers or employers’ organisations. Our Board of Governors is currently chaired by Sheila Potipher FCII JP.
The Principal & Chief Executive
Stephen Grix, Principal and Chief Executive of MidKent College, is also a member of the Board of Governors. He is responsible for all matters of cross-site strategic management and operation, as defined in the College's Articles of Government.
Medway Campus Principal
Sue McLeod, Principal of the Medway Campus, is responsible for all matters of strategic management and operation related to the Medway Campus and its partner premises.
Maidstone Campus Principal
Jane Jones, Principal of the Maidstone Campus, is responsible for all matters of strategic management and operation related to the Maidstone Campus and its partner premises.
Managing Director of MKC Training Services Ltd
Andrew Brader is Managing Director of MKC Training Services Ltd, a subsidiary company of the College created to deliver training on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. MKCTS delivers artisan training to soldiers at the Royal School of Military Engineering at Brompton Barracks.
College Senior Leadership Teams
MidKent College has two Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs), one at its Maidstone Campus and one at its Medway Campus. These teams are involved with strategic development relevant to their site and related issues - such as defining strategic objectives and policy, and implementing the College’s strategic plan.
