Learning is for everyone, at every stage in life. And at MidKent College, we've got something for you… whatever your background and whatever you want to achieve.

We're big

As one of the largest further education and training providers in the South East, we offer an extensive range of learning and training services.

Whether you want to train for work, gain an academic qualification or learn new skills, MidKent College will be able to help you do it. What's more, you can study at the level that suits you best – from total beginner to advanced learner.

Most of our courses also have a heavy vocational element to them, giving you the vital skills employers are looking for to give you that all-important first step up the career ladder.

We're local

From our three centres in Gillingham, Maidstone and Chatham in Kent, we're well placed to offer learning right in the heart of the Medway and Maidstone areas. All our sites are close to town centres and near to main motorways, and have good public transport links.

Our sparkling new £86 million Medway Campus in Gillingham – which opened in September 2009 – boasts some of the best vocational training facilities in the country as well as its own fine dining restaurant, travel agency, staff and student social zones and more.

The Maidstone Campus on the Oakwood Park complex is also due to undergo a major redevelopment costing a total of £25m, with work expected to start in 2012 for a completion date of December 2013.

As part of the rebuild MidKent College has agreed to purchase the University for the Creative Arts' Maidstone campus, which is also based at Oakwood Park. Higher Education learners currently studying at Chatham Maritime are due to move across to the new site in late 2012.

We're successful

MidKent College achieved its best ever success rates during the 2010/11 academic year, with 80% for long courses (3% above the national average) and 91% for short courses (6% above the national average).

But that doesn't mean we'll be taking things easy from now on – far from it. We are constantly striving to achieve bigger and better things for each and every one of our learners, and hope to record even higher results come the end of 2011/12.

We're flexible

We understand that not everyone wants to learn in the traditional full-time way. That's why at MidKent College we offer a whole host of part-time day and evening courses, with a strong emphasis on the vocational skills employers want from their new recruits.

MidKent College is also a lot different from school, with all our learners treated as adults and afforded the respect they deserve. You'll find no nameless teachers or strict dress codes here – just top quality learning from some of the best in the business.
